Built on a simple promise: your family's water matters.
Bowen Water Co is a family-owned business based right here in Belmont, North Carolina. We started this company because we believe every home in our community deserves access to clean, safe, great-tasting water — without the runaround or the rip-off.
Whether you're on city water dealing with chlorine and chloramines or on well water fighting hardness, iron, and sediment, we'll test your water, recommend the right system, and get it installed right. No runaround. No pressure.
Bowen Water Co is family-owned and rooted right here in Gaston County. We stand behind every system we sell with a lifetime warranty, and if something needs attention, we make it right — that accountability is the whole point of buying local.
Water across our region varies a lot — Charlotte metro city water, small-town municipal supplies, and private wells all bring their own challenges. We've seen them, and we build our recommendations around what your home actually needs.

What We Install
Two systems. Total coverage.
Treat every drop coming into your home, then polish your drinking water to bottled-water quality at the kitchen sink. That's the Bowen Water playbook.
Whole Home Filtration
Soft, clean water from the first faucet to the last.
Our whole home water filter installs at your main water line and treats every drop entering your house. A properly sized whole house water filtration system means softer skin and hair, longer-lasting appliances, and dramatically less soap and detergent use. Designed for Carolina water.
Bottled-water quality, right from your kitchen tap.
Our under-sink reverse osmosis system delivers ultra-pure drinking water with a dedicated faucet. Multi-stage filtration removes contaminants down to the molecular level, then re-mineralizes for crisp, great-tasting water.
Reverse osmosis is so thorough it strips out beneficial minerals along with the contaminants. Our optional alkaline mineralization stage adds them back — for water that's balanced, crisp, and genuinely good for you, not just clean.
Essential minerals restored
Adds back potassium, calcium, and magnesium that reverse osmosis removes — minerals your body actually wants in drinking water.
pH-positive alkaline water
Raises pH for smoother, less-acidic water with a clean, crisp taste built for maximum hydration.
5 activated mineral rocks
Mineral stone, calcite, maifan stone, and far-infrared ceramic work together to remineralize every drop.
Clean, crisp, great taste
The final polishing stage that turns ultra-pure RO water into water you'll actually look forward to drinking.

Our Work
Real installs. Real homes.
Every photo below is a system we've installed for a customer — whole-home filtration, softeners, pre-filters, and under-sink reverse osmosis. Tap any photo to view it larger.
Hard water, bad taste, and well-water issues — solved.
If any of this sounds like your home, a whole-house water filtration system or an under-sink reverse osmosis system will fix it. We test first, then recommend.
Hard Water
Scale, spots & crusty fixtures
Hard water leaves scale on faucets, spots on glassware, and shortens the life of every appliance. Our water softener installation and hard water treatment protect your plumbing and leave skin and hair noticeably softer.
Taste & Smell
Chlorine taste & that "pool" smell
City water filtration with carbon media handles chlorine and chloramine removal so your water stops tasting and smelling like a swimming pool — from the kitchen tap to the shower.
Well Water
Iron stains, sediment & sulfur
On a well? A well water filtration system with an iron filter and sediment pre-filter clears rusty staining, grit, and rotten-egg odor. We always start with well water testing before sizing anything.
Drinking Water
Bottled-quality water on tap
An under-sink reverse osmosis system gives you an RO drinking water system at a dedicated faucet — clean, crisp water for drinking, cooking, coffee, and ice without buying bottled.
Contaminants
Lead & heavy metals
Reverse osmosis filtration removes lead and heavy metals along with a long list of other contaminants, so the water your family drinks is genuinely clean — not just clearer-looking.
Whole Home
Treat every drop, not just one tap
A point-of-entry whole-house water filtration system treats water where it enters the home, so every shower, sink, and appliance gets filtered water. Pair it with RO for total coverage.

★★★★★
"Best water softener quality at by far the best price I could find. Not even comparable to Culligan or Home Depot. My partner loves the way her skin and hair feels. I drink a gallon or two of water a day and can't drink anything but my RO water now."

FAQ
Common questions, honestly answered.
What's the difference between whole-home filtration and reverse osmosis?
Whole-home filtration installs at your main water line and treats every drop entering the house — every shower, every faucet, every appliance. Reverse osmosis is a separate, smaller system that installs under your kitchen sink and polishes your drinking and cooking water to bottled-water quality. Most of our customers install both for total coverage.
Do you work on city water and well water?
Yes — both. City water across the region typically deals with chlorine, chloramines, and hardness. Well water often adds iron, sulfur, and sediment to the mix. We test your water on-site and build a system that handles exactly what's in it.
How often do filters need to be replaced?
For most whole-home systems, internal media lasts years before needing service. Reverse osmosis filters typically need replacement every 6–12 months, and the RO membrane every 2–3 years. We'll set you up with a maintenance schedule so you never have to think about it.
Will a filtration system reduce my water pressure?
Properly sized systems maintain your normal water pressure. We size every system to your home's plumbing, fixtures, and household size so you won't notice any drop. If you do, something's wrong — and we'll come fix it.
How much does a system cost?
Pricing depends on your home, your water source, and which system makes sense for you. The honest answer: we'll come out, test your water, walk you through the options, and give you a written quote with no pressure. Free estimates, always.
What's covered under the lifetime warranty?
Tank and valve components on our whole-home systems carry a lifetime warranty against manufacturer defects. We'll go over the full warranty details when we provide your quote so you know exactly what's covered.
Family Owned
Three generations. One promise.
Bowen Water Co is a family business — three generations of Bowens, working together, with our name on everything we do. The company was built on a simple idea: treat every customer's water the way we'd want our own family's treated.
We care about your water because we care about the families who drink it, cook with it, and bathe their kids in it — including our own. That's why we test honestly, recommend only what you actually need, and stand behind every system that carries our name. We're local, we're not going anywhere, and we answer for the work.
